Hello West Meade neighbors,

We are in need of your feedback on the rebuild of Brookmeade Park and Greenway. I along with three other individuals Dede Byrd, Becky Lowe and Tim Tomes began the journey to clean up our community park, house the individuals living there and stop the criminal activity on July 28, 2021. Hundreds of hours worked to get to this point.

The park is clear of debris, hazardous materials and remnants of the homeless encampment. Gresham Smith will be the lead planner for Metro Parks and Recreation to ensure the environmental safety and rebuild of the Park and Greenway.

Specifically, the park needs to offer other amenities outside of a path and benches along the river. I am attaching a QR code which contains a survey to complete and the presentation given by Gresham Smith at the first community meeting. (Very low attendance) We will have a follow up meeting after this survey is completed. The dead line is November 30. Finally, I would like to speak to the Park Board of Directors next month and give them feedback from our community outside the survey.
